Is it really possible to do this?

In the movie The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Dastan is climbing up the wall of Alamut with the help of his soldiers shooting crossbow bolts for him to hold on to. Is it really possible to climb a wall this way, or would you just end up getting shot in the hand?
