What horse breed is better for a first-time rider?

My cousin wants to learn how to ride a horse and i said i would teach her but my horse is a paint mare and is not for first-time rider. So my mom said i can get a new horse so i can teach her. but i don't know what kind of horse is better for first-time rider and more mellow??
